Sketching the figure was my earliest practice of art. For years I have attended local figure studio groups to sketch nude and clothed models. I enjoy the stimulation of working side by side with other artists as well as the opportunity to sketch LIVE. I vary my materials from week to week, using graphite, charcoal , pastel, watercolor, ink, acrylic and gouache. Sometimes I bring a painted background and do my quick sketch on top if it. All of these figures were done in 10-20 minute sessions.
